PhotoSize Lab / Compress a photo to an exact file size
Compress a photo to an exact file size
Portals that only accept 20 KB, 50 KB or 200 KB: type the target and the tool binary-searches JPEG quality, reducing resolution only when it has to — and telling you which happened.
Three steps
1
Enter 20 in "Target size" and pick the specification your portal asks for.
2
Upload the photo; the estimate updates as you adjust the crop.
3
Download and read the note: on target, or resolution reduced.
Sizes this applies to

Many portals also set a minimum size — check the lower bound after compressing, or the file may be rejected as corrupt.
Questions
Will 20 KB look blurry?
At 295×413 px a 20 KB file is still readable. Below that quality drops quickly and the tool warns you.
Why can it not reach my target?
JPEG has a floor. Clean backgrounds compress well, noisy photos do not — the tool then reduces resolution and says so.
Does it support PNG?
Yes, but PNG barely compresses and most portals only accept JPG.

Change your ID photo background
Swap white for blue, blue for white, red for light grey: upload, pick a colour, and the edges are feathered so hair and collars stay intact. Everything runs in your browser — the photo is never uploaded.
OpenMake a 1-inch ID photo
A 1-inch photo is 25×35 mm, or 295×413 px at 300 dpi. Pick the size, align the head, export exact pixels — or lay out a 6-inch sheet holding ten copies for a print shop.
OpenLay out ID photos for printing
A print shop charges per photo, yet a 6-inch sheet holds ten 1-inch copies. Generate a sheet with cut lines and print it yourself for pennies.
