Questions
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. Cropping, background replacement and compression all run in your browser with Canvas. Nothing leaves your device, and the tool works offline.
Why are there several "2-inch" sizes?
In China, 2-inch photos come as 35×49 mm, 35×53 mm or 33×48 mm depending on the issuer. Portals only validate pixels — follow the pixel value in your notice.
Can I use a phone selfie?
Yes, if the light is even, the wall behind you is plain and you face the camera. Skip beauty filters, hats and thick frames — those are the usual rejection reasons.
Will a 20 KB file still look sharp?
At 295×413 px a 20 KB file is usually still readable. If the portal allows 100 KB or more, do not over-compress — reviewers often zoom in.
